U.S. broiler exports up over first seven months as China leads way

China led all other markets in U.S. broiler export value for the fourth month in a row in July, although monthly volume was lower than in June, May, and April due to increased Chinese broiler production and more competition in the market from other countries, particularly Brazil.
China still trailed only Mexico in U.S. broiler export volume in July, and for the year, from January through July. And it was tops in export value for the seven-month period.
Broiler exports to China in July were 34,623 tons, valued at $57.6 million, according to new trade data released by USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.
