USAPEEC Mexico contest helps develop new value-added products

Under the sponsorship of the Kansas Soybean Commission, USAPEEC Mexico is conducting a competition to develop new value-added products with poultry proteins. The contest is a collaboration between USAPEEC and local meat and poultry processor PROBOCA, and the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon.

The participating food science students are developing new value-added products for PROBOCA to launch in the future. This past week, the 13 participant teams presented their developments to receive feedback in preparation for the final presentation, which will be conducted in late November.
