U.S. dried egg bakery seminar draws students in Japan

USAPEEC Japan recently conducted a U.S. Dried Egg Bakery Seminar at Humanitec in Nagoya. The program was funded by the Iowa Soybean Association, and about 80 students participated. USAPEEC’s Izumi Amano lectured the group about the egg market in Japan and the U.S., and guest instructor Shinpei Asada, a master chef of the Japanese sweets industry, then demonstrated two recipes using U.S. dried whole egg and egg yolk as the students learned how to use dried eggs in baking. Recipes that were prepared were “Fromage Duo” and “Chocolat et Orange.” Humanitec teachers also assisted in the seminar.
