SIAL Shanghai show

Over the course of the last three years, the food and beverage industry has overcome many challenges and uncertainties and demonstrated great resilience. At the same time, with the continued growth of the global population and the continuous evolution of consumer demands and preferences, the upgrading of the global food and beverage industry is imperative. The holding of SIAL Shanghai 2023 was an important force leading this global trend.

SIAL Shanghai 2023 was held recently at the Shanghai New International Expo Center and achieved records in several areas including space and the number of exhibitors. With an exhibition area of 180,000 square meters and a total of 12 theme halls, the show attracted more than 4,500 exhibitors and more than 150,000 professionals from 67 countries and regions around the world to participate in the exhibition with their products, fully demonstrating the international influence of SIAL.

This was also USAPEEC's first exhibit in China since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Three USAPEEC members joined the booth this year: Globex International, Intervision Foods, and Gerber Agri International. Other member companies including AJC, Grove Services, Interra, Lamex, and PMI Foods participated in the show with their own booths.

With the end of the pandemic, Chinese customers have regained their enthusiasm for food purchase from overseas suppliers, and the exhibitors were all impressed by this overwhelming support from the show visitors. Both the USAPEEC China team and the participating member companies had the opportunity to meet existing customers and make new contacts during this three-day event.
