USAPEEC Mexico hosts Indiana delegation in “see for yourself” trip

A delegation from the Indiana Soybean Alliance and the Indiana Corn Marketing Council visited Mexico this past week to view work done by USAPEEC, USMEF, and U.S. Grains. In USAPEEC’s portion of the agenda, the delegation made a market visit, and USAPEEC presented the results obtained from promoting U.S. poultry products under ISA and ICMC funding.

During a working breakfast, USAPEEC Mexico Director Alma Lilia de Leon, USAPEEC covered the Mexican market and the challenges and opportunities for poultry products. USAPEEC Mexico Marketing Manager Liliana Solis reviewed the activities to promote poultry products in the food service industry. The delegation sampled dishes developed jointly with local restaurants, made with duck meat from Indiana, including duck tamales, duck tacos, and a pumpkin spice creme brulee made with dried U.S. egg products.
