U.S. broiler & egg exports gain in value, volume in first 11 months

U.S. broiler and egg exports registered gains in both volume and value for January through November 2021, while turkey exports increased in value, according to new trade data released by USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.
Broiler exports for January through November 2021 were 3,321,850 metric tons, up 1.4 percent from the same period a year earlier, while export value reached $4.090 billion, an increase of 25.5 percent. Cumulative turkey exports from January to November in
2021 were 229,089 metric tons, down 3.8 percent from the same period a year earlier, while export value reached $603.2 million, up 12.6 percent. Total egg exports (table eggs plus egg products in shell egg equivalent) for the first eleven months of 2021 increased by 17.3 percent to 310.1 million dozen. The value of those exports grew by 40.3 percent to $283.1 million.
