Cuba, Philippines, South Korea lead broiler, egg exports

U.S. broiler and egg exports for the first four months of this year increased in both volume and value, according to new trade data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.

China, Cuba, the Philippines, and Angola led the way, scoring tremendous gains in broiler exports from the same period a year ago. Exports to Cuba and the Philippines reached all-time highs in both volume and value, while exports to China set a record in value.

Meanwhile, strength in South Korea, Canada, and Mexico propelled egg exports. Egg exports to South Korea through April this year recorded record highs in volume and value.
