As exports of U.S. poultry and eggs grow, the economic impact goes beyond the poultry industry. Soybean and corn farmers are among the biggest beneficiaries of increased exports. For example, did you know that the poultry industry consumes one of every six bushels of soybeans produced in the United States? Poultry feed accounts for more than half of U.S. soybean usage.

Over the last several years, USAPEEC has developed strategic alliances with soybean and grain organizations. These groups know the importance of the poultry industry to the health and well being of the soybean and corn industry in this country. Corn is also vital to the health and productivity of the poultry industry, with more than 12 percent of all U.S. corn used for poultry feed. 

Several other commodity and farmer groups have joined USAPEEC, including the American Egg Board, United Egg Producers, and National Corn Growers Association.
